Lexus GS 300 is a good car - 2002 Lexus GS 300
By JJ - August 6 - 1:10 pmBought it new in 02 for $39,500 and i still like it a lot. at 200k miles, it still runs quietly and smoothly. Ill get another one soon. A very few complaints and they are too minor to mention. Im in sales and its perfect for that. Dealer service is too expensive but if you can find an honest independent, go with that.

02 Lexus GS 300 Soldiers On - 2002 Lexus GS 300
By 2002 gs 300 - August 16 - 2:36 pmThis has been a very good car for me, a salesman traveling around Ohio, Ky and Indiana. At 191,000 miles, it runs exactly as it did when I bought it new. I have one complaint-it uses a qt of oil abt every 1,400 miles in the last year, using full synthetic. I still get compliments on the millennium silver color and the light grey leather interior. The handling and acceleration are crisp, for the size of the car. A good value!

I want my BMW 5 series back - 2002 Lexus GS 300
By ParkPlaceBAD-TX - December 26 - 10:00 amMy GS has been in the shop 10+ times. Sounds like a friggin alian spaceship landing in the FR at 40-55, Lexus says "its normal" but they cant reproduce on another car. Replaced the rack, tires & other parts with no results. Slight presure on the brakes & the noise goes away but they wont replace the caliper - too logical maybe? First 8mo they said "absolutly, theres a problem", now they claim its fixed & its normal noise. Also, the car wanders horribly on the highway, thats why they replaced the rack - no change. They took the front end out of spec & did help the drift but its still miserable. A bit of wind on the road pushes me around, bummer huh?

Totally Satisfied - 2002 Lexus GS 300
By suxelgs300 - August 24 - 10:00 amThis is my third GS 300. Each one has been better than the last. My current model is the special edition "Sport Design" that has a Euro-tuned suspension, larger tires and some cosmetic enhancements. Now there is no sogginess in the ride. Reliability has always been great and so has the overall buying experience.

Sweet, serene luxury - 2002 Lexus GS 300
By omegadoug - July 22 - 2:00 amMy frame of reference, my last car, was a BMW 3-series so I definitely miss the handling. But had I wanted a car that handled perfectly, I would have gotten a BMW. I opted for the Lexus because it offers the silkiest, smoothest ride of anything Ive driven. Another 75 hp would make this car near flawless, but not at the premium required to get a 430.
